Asian Stereotypes
People say Asians are followers, not leaders. Passive, not assertive. Brittle, easy to bully. A loyal sidekick, but never the main character.
Think about how irrational it is to define almost 5 billion people or even 24 million Asian Americans with a handful of descriptors. To deny all our idiosyncrasies.
It’s not enough for us to defy the stereotype; we need to work to eradicate it. The best place to start is by proving them wrong.
